Salt Lake City, Utah(ABC 4 News)- Governor Herbert wasted little time vetoing House Bill 76 the Concealed Weapon Carry bill today.

The bill would have allowed persons over 21 years of age to carry a gun without a permit being issued.

In a statement released by the Governors office today, the Governor said, "As a State, we must exercise extreme care that we not impose undue burdens on the right to bear arms, but I have yet to receive any credible evidence that Utah's current permit process constitutes a hardship."

Ironically, enough Herbert enjoys armed bodyguards wherever he goes. The bill passed with a veto-proof majority. Hope they override his veto asap.
