HEBER, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A head on collision has closed SR 189, the road which connects Provo to Heber city. The crash happened just after eleven this morning near mile marker 23, which is close to the Deer Creek Island Resort.
One person was trapped in the car, requiring extrication. A medical helicopter was disptached to the scene to fly one person who was listed in critical condition.
The road was shut down until the Utah Highway Patrol concluded its investigation. The cause of the accident not immediately known.
