Santa Clara, Utah (ABC 4 News)- Governor Herbert has asked for federal funds to assist victims of the Dam break in Santa Clara Utah on September 11th 2012.

The funds requested would help restore the area to what it was like before the flood.

The order must be signed by the president before money could be given.  State estimates put damage at 3.9 million dollars in the city of Santa Clara.

If the president approves the State's request for a presidential disaster declaration, a FEMA team would return to identify and approve eligible projects

Information provided by Governor Herbert's Office.
