LEHI, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The commute from Utah County to Salt Lake City will never be the same. Monday FrontRunner took its first paying customers from through it's new extended service.
Monday commuters were able to bypass I-15 and take a train ride.
This is a big day for UTA. UTA General Manager Michael Allegra told ABC4 News, "This is a big day for the Wasatch Front, this is a big day for Utah."
The FrontRunner extension came in under budget and nearly three years ahead of schedule. The nearly 900 million dollar project required no federal money.
