ELECTRIC LAKE, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The Utah Department of Transportation says State Road 31 in Huntington Canyon has been closed due to damage from flash flooding the area.
UDOT anticipated the the highway would remain closed for several days between Milepost 18 and 37 due to road damage and debris.
UDOT reported that the affected area included damage at Milepost 29 near the Pole Canyon area about 7 miles from Electric Lake.
UDOT said that debris was covering about a quarter mile of roadway, and that two places in Huntington Canyon were eroding.
According to UDOT, the damage and debris flow happened Wednesday night, and was affected by the burn scar from the Seeley fire, which burned about a month prior.
