SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Fire restrictions on Utah's national forests have been lifted more than a month after they were set in place because of high fire danger.
The Deseret News reports the restrictions were lifted Friday. Restrictions are still in place on other public and private unincorporated lands.
The restrictions were put in place June 14. Rain and higher relative humidity in recent weeks on higher-elevation national forests has reduced fire danger. But Forest Service officials are still urging people to be cautious and properly extinguish their fires.
