SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A field fire burned at Tanner Park near Parley's Canyon Saturday afternoon.

The fire, which started at 2:17 p.m., burned 2 acres and threatened homes on 2700 east, as well as power lines.

Some homeowners used hoses to water-down their yards as a precautionary action, according to Salt Lake City Fire Spokesman Jason Asay.

Unified Fire Authority and Salt Lake City Fire had 20 firefighters fighting the blaze.

Tanner Park is located at 2695 E. Heritage Way (2760 South) in Salt Lake City.
