SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Josh Powell and his father Steve have released copies of Susan Powell's alleged journal entries to the media.

Steve Powell tells ABC 4 News they are releasing them to refute Chuck Cox's claim that Susan was not suicidal..

The entries are not recent and were supposedly written by Susan when she was a young teenager.

In one alleged entry, Josh Powell claims that Susan had written she had "taken 10 Ibuprofen," but then later admitted that she "wasn't trying to kill herself."   The Powells believe the alleged journal entries from Susan's young life show that she was a troubled and even sexually motivated woman, who could have easily run off with another man in December of 2009.
"It is imminently clear that Susan led a double life, from the time she was 13, 14, or possibly even 12," says Steve Powell.

Chuck Cox refutes those claims, saying Josh has no right to his daughter's so-called journals. "They are not his.  They are Susan's.  They are alleging she is alive and if that's the case, then they are stealing her intellectual property and in violation of copyright laws.  We will take action to protect our daughter," says Chuck Cox.

ABC 4 has decided not to divulge detailed information from the alleged journal entries, out of respect for Susan Powell's privacy.  However, Steve Powell claims they will post them on their website that's devoted to Susan.

On Tuesday a hearing will be held in Tacoma, Washington to determine if the protective order Josh Powell filed against Chuck Cox should remain permanent.

Absence of a body for 2 years does NOT = reasonable doubt as to Josh Powell's guilt!! It PROVES BEYOND reasonable doubt that he did it, according to the statistics: when a woman "goes missing," what percentage of the time does it turn out that "her husband killed her" vs. "she left her children to start a new life" ?? Yeah - enough said. It's almost non-existent that women leave their children, let alone cut off all communication from them, let alone cut off communication with every single person they know and seemingly fall of the face of the earth. Josh Powell did NOT commit a perfect murder ... because it's so OBVIOUS that he did it. He merely thought of a way to dispose of the evidence that would most-swiftly convict him. That is why he DARED to use the completely outrageous and unbelievable excuse that he took off camping in the middle of the night, in sub-zero temps. Obviously, he was SURE the body wouldn't be found, when he told it. But I surely hope he doesn't stake his brilliant reputation on his ability to make something disappear. His idiotic "alibi" is proof enough of his retarded intellect. A TRULY intelligent person (a brilliant mastermind) wouldn't even be a suspect at all, in the first place ... or, at the very least, would have come up with a PLAUSIBLE alibi. In your arrogance, you think you are having the last laugh ... you can't even see that the entire world is laughing AT you, and thinking what an incredibly pathetic loser you are. You made a BAD choice/decision ... and it WILL haunt you for the rest of your life ... you will never have a normal life, ever ... your destiny is misery. "Pride goeth before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall." Your pride is not so much an OVER-estimation of yourself and your skills/abilities and intelligence, as it is a DANGEROUS UNDER-estimation of others (and their desire to find the truth and see justice served).

I find the Cox family to be nothing but a family of liars, and those who will protect a liar. How incredibly discusting their actions are, and have been in the past, and I am sure will continue to be. I dont know these people personally, but I know one thing for sure, Josh killed Susan.

Anyone's teenage musings and angst should not necessarily be taken seriously as a reflection of what their adult life is like. Josh and his father are only making themselves look foolish and desperate.

Either the father-in-law is ignorant or an idiot. All I got to say is people change. I was also promiscious as a teenager which I'm not proud of but I got married and settled down. I would never leave my kids and my husband. Just because she was that way as a teenager means nothing

It sounds like their website "dedicated" to Susan, is really dedicated only to theories that could exculpate Josh. It appears an act of desperation to point the finger at Susan. However, perhaps much was learned from watching the Casey Anthony defense - reasonable doubt might be established by proposing highly unlikely scenarios that have no basis in fact. They have always maintained she is alive. Now, if she is found dead, they can point back to their new claims that she was suicidal. My heart aches for the Cox family and her boys.

Tisk Tisk, Josh and Steve. You both are protesting way tooooo loudly. Steve is just as guilty as Josh. The worst part is Susan's young sons are being raised by such egotistical liars. If she was alive, she would never have left her boys in the hands of these two lying jerks. Susan's body may never be found but everyone knows what her fate was. The Cox family deserves closure. What loving father takes his two young sons 'camping' on such a cold night? Was this a pattern? How many times did this idiot take his two sons camping in the dead of winter previously? these boys will figure it out one day...of course these adults raising them could brainwash these two innocent children..wait, could? They are doing it now, stuffing their brains with all those lies...I pray the State of Washington, Child protection is keeping an eye on them. Those boys are in danger.

Josh and Steve Powell are lower than whale crap on the bottom of the ocean. The only word that comes to mind is "disgusting" for the both of them. I'm sure there is a more appropriate name for them but I don't know what it would be.
