I greq up in the mormon church, served a mission and served in various positions in the church. We were alwaystaught to beware of wolves disguised in sheep's clothing. Do your homework people...this guy (Mittins) is a fraud and phony. He has lied so much he has to lie about the lies he's told.

Reporter Brian Carlson should be fired for the awful articles that he reports for channel 4. He is also behind the Ann Romney outfit article that was so judgmental and inappropriate. He is an embarassment to Utah.

I find it awseome that one person can have a voice that has caused so many people to think and to stir feelings in their gut. to either feel guilty and become upset and vent it out on all religious things. or go back to their core teachings and ask a God (whom this nation has said they will follow) to help the one they feel could help this nation with fear that if they lead this nation asrtay they will answer to GOD whomever he she it may be! God bless America by helping us chooses the person that you would choose to run your nation under your voice in their heart. we will countinue to try and be one with you on all things with a hope of learning from our mistakes. to always become a better people then the day before.amen

Fasting is also a component (usually ignored) in Judaism and Christianity. And the purpose of fasting wasn't to just "go hungry," it included using the money saved and the time saved (in those days much of the day was spent working to produce one's food for the day) to do good works. For Christians, criticizing this woman demonstrates nothing but ignorance of Scripture Listen to a 09/02/2012 sermon on the subject: http://theuniversitychurchtoledo.org/worship/

anybody is free to practice personal religion, but constitution has separated church from government. if somebody believes fasting will help Romney, they are suffering some personal delusion because Romney has nothing but powerpoint talking points and is doing a good job of defeating himself. He hasn't a clue regarding how to run a presidency and his own record in business and government is not very good. he has zit leadership abilities other than memorized empty content speeches and making accusatory statements at those who disagree with him. the greatest tragedy is that it is not Dems vs republicans-- because great leaders of the past from Republican party are now branded communists, socialists, commies, etc... Romney is a serious misrepresentatoin of the common people of the US. He's dismissed them as the 47%, the lay-abouts, the moochers, the worthless... and anybody who has ever lost a job due to massive lay-offs, or lost a house and property due to Katrina or natural disasters, or lost a body part due to exploding munitions... somehow this ratty man doesn't represent the hardship and daily struggle of 47% of Americans who have insufficient income to cover basic needs. and all the while, Romney pays scant 14% tax in manipulated return, donates most of his "charity" back either into LDS church or into his own nonprofit org and is is stingy as hell towards public giving except for powerpoint talks and scathing rants at the average American. you can fast all you want, bu fasting is not going to change the character of Mitt Romney or his own mess-making. He leveraged companies and then set them in bankruptcies and the real losers were the folks who lost jobs, benefits and some security. He is totally self-serving man and zit interest in realities that most Americans face. If he did, he would be investing his wealth into the US, paying taxes rather than finding offshore tax-havens and backing new companies as start-ups not levaraging buyouts.

The campaign for President or the person who is elected should not involve a religious preference. Mitt Romney has side stepped his religion in this campaign. As for fasting, that's the choice of an individual. Channel 4 as well as its competitors always talk about the LDS Church. I just ignore it. As for Romney, he's said enough inane things to sabotage his own campaign.

Seriously. This is not news. It is an attempt by Channel 4 to support one candidate and one religion. I tuned in for the news, not for the local LDS church prayer group. Now, the network channels are trying to get involved in advocating religious activity in support of the Mormon candidate. Why was this reported if not to get more LDS members to participate?
