ETOH abuse is the # 1 drug abuse in Utah. and is pretty close to the 2nd highest call for ambulances to respond on! 1st is psych which by the way almost all psych calls have this substance as part of their problem!just some facts for ya! but hey the stuff works great for cooking ducks!

Anyhow, while I definitely suspect that the reasons for Giani's appointment being delayed are at least somewhat accurate, this article is indeed a mess. Typos, allusion to vague sources not named, little factual context. Whomever drafted this needs to review their journalism school notes.

Gaines, you almost made me spit my drink through my nose. And yes, it was an alcoholic drink.

How does this pass for journalism? No facts, no sources, no information of any kind. I am going to sit down and draft an article called: Skyrocketing Numbers of Douchebagd as Rporters? Like how I ended my title with a question mark? Can't sue me for libel. Oh yeah!

The church controlling state law and interfering with civilian affairs? really? this is news? why do people act so shocked? I have lived in Utah most of my life and this kind of thing no longer phases me, as an ex mormon I CAN tell you that the church is in fact eyeballs deep in politics here using front men to keep their hands clean, they believe Utah is their land and want to force everybody to obey their ridiculous laws, for an organization hard set against alcohol, they sure enjoy the tax money they receive from it. Now don't get me wrong, I would have no problem with them lobbying like every other major corporation, BUT THEY NEED TO PAY TAXES, no taxation without representation, and no representation without taxation!!!

Well Kevin, you might think we're all wrong, but if it's facts you want, the fact is, the LDS Church controls this State.

Okay. You're all wrong. The article is wrong because it's sensationalist and has NO details and NO facts. Suzanne is wrong because she's simply reacting to the sensationalism of the article with her own insecurities. And "Normal" is wrong because essentially every large organization has lobbyists who seek the organization's interests in government. If they didn't, how would politicians know what is in the best interest of large groups of their constituents? Then he goes off the deep end... Either way, think about facts - not opinions.

The Mormon church needs to butt out of State business! It's unbelievable what they get away with. When did they become exempt from the "separation of Church and State" law? You don't see any other religion trying to dictate was does and does not happen in this State. They need to stop pushing their ridiculous beliefs down everyone else's throat. Believe it or not there are a few of us in this State that are NOT Mormon.

Separation of church and state is a federal mandate, except here in Utah. I do not care what the Mormon church wants. Let them tell their members what they want, I am not one and do not want to hear their biased opinion on life. If the "members" have such strong faith booze could be free and they would still resist and pay tithing, which is what the church really wants, not your soul, your money :-(
