EXCLUSIVE: Granato to run for Salt Lake County Council

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - ABC 4 News has learned that Democrat Sam Granato will announce soon that he is running for a council seat in Salt Lake County.
Reportedly, Granato will run in Council District 4.
This is the seat currently held by Jani Iwamoto who has announced she will not seek reelection.
Granato is a successful businessman and the former commission chairman of Utah's Department of
Alcoholic Beverage Control.
In 2010, He also ran against Republican Mike Lee for one of Utah's U.S. Senate seats.
Although Granato lost, he was widely praised for running an effective campaign.
Granato is expected to announce his county council campaign within the next few days.
