Double-domed theater demolished in Riverdale

RIVERDALE, Utah (ABC 4 News) - 40 years ago, it was the place to see a movie - 70 foot screens and a state of the air sound system. Soon, it will be a place to buy a car. On Monday, after years of neglect, the Cinedome 70 movie theater in Riverdale was demolished.

yeah, another car lot - what in the heck, in this economy does UT need another place to get ripped off? Bring down history, pave it up - that's beautiful.

I admit that I never went to this place. However after seeing this story I to feel a great loss for having never visited a movie theatre that was so architecually correct in conveying a point or couple points of interest that only seem to draw in the crowds regardless of what oh so popular movie happens to be playing at the time.

Like Riverdale needs another car lot. There are more car lots now then there are permanent residents.
