Actually Trentcon - I got that from the current LDS website and I quote "any unmarried mormon will not dwell with God in the celestial Kingdom, having not fulfilled their duty to God". But wait there's more: It is said that God cursed the Lamanites with black skin so they would not be enticing unto the Nephites. Even though Alma 17:14 describes the Lamanites as being a wild, ferocious, plundering, robbing, and murdering people, God felt the need to change their skin color to make them not enticing to the Nephites ... as if their immoral acts were not sufficient enough to deter the Nephites into wanting to become like them. It is also stated in 2 Nephi 5:23 that the Nephites would also be cursed with the dark skin if they married with the Lamanites. Mormon, moron same difference

@bx1111. The Book of Mormon is likely the book you are referring to. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that "Moron" was a typo instead of an insult. And for the record, The Book of Mormon says nothing about people being banned from heaven based on marriage status. It seems obvious you have not read it. In other LDS scripture, not in the Book of Mormon, the doctrine of eternal marriage is explained and says that eternal marriage is needed to enjoy the highest state of glory and progress, even still the unmarried are not banned from heaven as you have said. I, for one, know that I wouldn’t make much progress in this life or the next with out my lovely wife, nor would heaven be heaven to me without her.

According to Book of Moron unmarried people are banned from heaven..you all have a lot of work to do.
