DA: Police shooting on Main Street justified

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office has determined that Salt Lake City Police Officer Alma Sweeny's use of deadly force against a man claiming to have a bomb was justified.
Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said Anthony Mayhew's death during a September 27 incident on Main Street was justified under Utah state law.
During a standoff, Mayhew was shot and killed by Salt Lake City police officer after he claimed to have a bomb inside his backpack.
Police claim Mayhew kept walking towards offciers with his backpack and refused to stop.
