OGDEN, Utah (AP) - Three officers who were wounded in a drug raid described a chaotic scene of gunfire and bodies in the second day of testimony against the Ogden man accused in the shootings.

The preliminary hearing is being held to determine if Matthew David Stewart should stand trial on charges of capital murder, attempted murder and marijuana cultivation.

One officer died in the Jan. 4 raid and five others were wounded.

Officer Michael Rounkles described hearing a radio call for help and responding to Stewart's home with a shotgun. Rounkles says he saw a muzzle flash as soon as he entered the house and was immediately shot in the mouth and his left arm.

Stewart's ex-girlfriend, who tipped off police that Stewart had been growing marijuana for years, also is expected to take the stand.
