PRICE, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A man who kept his brother's dead body inside a Carbonville home for 17 days pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to prison on Monday.
Carbon County Sheriff's investigators say 54-year-old Kurt Alan Morris shot and killed his brother, then hid his body for more than two weeks inside his home in late August in to early September.
According to investigators, Kurt Morris' neighbors called authorities when they noticed a running vehicle next to his mobile home with a hose attached to the tailpipe that ran into the home.
The hose led to a bedroom where Morris was found, still alive.
Investigators say Morris told the deputies about his dead brother, whose body was found with a gunshot wound inside a separate sealed-off room.
After accepting Kurt Morris' guilty plea to 1st Degree Felony Murder on Monday, 7th District Court Judge George Harmond sentenced him to a 15-years-to-life sentence in prison.
