WEST VALLY CITY (ABC 4 News) - Many gathered Sunday night to say good-bye to the young Powell boys taken too soon. Some knew the family, but many did not. The organizer of the vigil had never met the Charlie or Braden, but heard about their deaths on the news. The tragedy is all too familiar for Cheyenne Miller.
Miller said, “I had a good friend who was in a custody battle with her husband and he ended up killing their two kids. This just hits too close to home.”
The Mayor of West Valley also in attendance remembering the boys and standing by his community members in mourning. Mayor Mike Winder says the community of West Valley City is strong and they’ll stand together through this tragedy.
