Robert William "Rob" Bishop is the U.S. Representative for Utah's 1st congressional district, serving since 2003. He is a member of the Republican Party, and a member of the Tea Party Caucus. Bishop was born in Kaysville, Utah, and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah in 1974. Bishop served as a high school teacher in Box Elder and Weber Counties until retirement in 2002, when he sought Utah's U.S. House District 1 seat. Bishop is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a husband and the father of five.

Donna M. McAleer

Party: Democrat

Donna McAleer the former director of the People’s Health Clinic, a non–profit organization based in Summit County. McAleer received a bachelor's degree from the West Point Military Academy and served in the U.S. Army until 1991, when she entered school to earn a master's degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. McAleer tried out for the Olympic bobsled team in 2000, just missing the cut. McAleer is a certified ski instructor at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City. McAleer is a wife and mother of one.
