Cabins evacuated due to Red Ledges Fire

SPANISH FORK, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The human caused Red Ledges Fire is now 1800 acres and moving north.

According to officials, a total of 20 cabins have been evacuated because of the fire.

Reports state the Red Ledges Fire started on August 19 at approximately 1 p.m. The fire is located on the north and west side of Diamond Fork Canyon in the Red Ledges area, which is 4 miles northeast of the Diamond Fork Campground.

Although the fire has been determined to be human caused, the exact cause is under investigation.

Officials report the fire is burning in steep, rough terrain of juniper, sage, and oak brush. A local Type 3 Team has been assigned to fight the fire.
