NORTH OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Police say a body has been found in connection with the investigation into a missing North Ogden teen.

"Late yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon police were led to an undisclosed gravesite," said North Ogden Police Chief Polo Afuvai.

According to Afuvai, an confidential source took investigators to a rural Morgan County grave site where the remains were found.

Afuvai said forensic teams and crime scene investigators were processing the remains and site to determine a positive identity.

The body was taken to the Utah State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

North Ogden Det. Paul Rhoades also spoke at the conference and said that investigators have identified suspects in connection with the case, but refused to name them.

Rhoades also refused to divulge anything about the condition of the body, and said that the Rasmussen family did not want to speak to the media.

16-year-old Alexis Rasmussen was reported missing on September 11.

Rasmussen was last seen baby sitting at the home of Eric and Dea Millerberg on September 10th.  Police say the couple was being investigated, and that both were recently arrested on unrelated drug charges.

Alexis' mother Dawn Miera says she was texting her daughter late into the night she disappeared. She said Alexis was worried because the Millerbergs had not returned home and it was approaching midnight.

"I told her to just sleep there and not come home," Miera said.

But Miera soon learned that her daughter was texting a boy at around 12:30.

"They were planning to meet at a nearby school," she said. "But that didn't happen and the boy he never met with her."

If indeed this is Lexi, I can only say how sorry I am for the family and friends of her and the family. All I can say is you have my sympathies and my thoughts are with you all. I don't know the family but I still feel so very sorry for all who know's the family and especially her Mom I cannot imagine losing a child, this is way beyond my scope of understanding.
