ROY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Police have located a human body at a Roy home where investigators were digging as part of a missing persons case out of Layton.
Layton Police said investigators on scene at 3812 W 4550 S in Roy located the body Thursday afternoon, after detectives spent days digging up dirt in the backyard of the home.
Weber Metro Crime Scene Investigators have swept the backyard and laid out a grid system to gather evidence.
Officials
were searching at the site as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Victor Flores, who
was last seen in Layton in May of 2011.
Neighbors said they noticed suspicious activity at the home in the past months. The renters moved out before investigators served search warrants at the home last week.
"It's definitely sickening to my stomach to just know that this happened in my neighborhood," Jessica Criswell said.
The medical examiner's office has not yet identified the body. Layton police have not said how the discovery affects Flores's case.
