SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) The Natural History Museum of Utah invited the public behind the scenes to areas of the museum usually off-limits this weekend.
Visitors got to see up close over 1.2 million scientific objects. The event marks the one year anniversary that the museum moved into the Rio Tinto Center.
“It is a very special chance for people to speak with the scientists who work here everyday, to get a sense of the world class research that's underway and see some of the amazing paleontology specimens,” said Chris Eisenberg, Director of Philanthropy.
The next big exhibit at the Natural Museum of History will open in May and will focus on extreme natural phenomenon such as hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes.
