First, if you are addicted to caffeine, you are not being obedient to prophetic counsel. Second, if you don't like or want to drink caffeinated soda, that's your personal decision. So let others make their own about it. Lastly, the topic remains clear as mud in the church and we can make valid arguments on all sides. So let's just stop crying over spilled milk.

Lame. It is quite obvious that caffeine in soft drinks is not part of the Word of Wisdom. When used judiciously in moderation, caffeine is safe. What the church teaches is to avoid addictive substances which is why caffeine has always been considered a substance in a gray area. Personally, I think energy drinks should be avoided and if not, no more than one a day. People get just as addicted to sugar as they can to caffeine so all soft drinks should be moderately used. Water really is the best option. Also in my opinion, soft drinks in all its forms are a major contributor to America's struggle with obesity, so choose wisely.
