After several large fires caused by shooting guns outdoors here in Utah, gun rights advocates here are claiming that restrictions on outdoors shooting are a slippery slope to... what exactly? Less accidents, maiming, killing, property damage and fires? They say we should rely on the good judgement of gun owners/users and punish individuals only if they act irresponsibly and cause a fire. But we already know that gun rights advocates are irresponsible when they argue against and block all reasonable gun restrictions. This irresponsibility also extends to their own gun ownership and use. Punishing gun shooters only after they've caused a wildfire, especially when most do all they can to not get identified or caught, will be completely ineffective in reducing wildfires caused by these inherently irresponsible gun nuts. Our Founding Fathers never intended that this country would adopt this kind of grotesque misinterpretation of the 2nd Amendment.
