SUNSET, Utah (ABC 4 News) - An 85-year-old man living is Sunset died after getting hit by a car early Monday morning.
Sunset Police believe the man was trying to get to a bus stop as he crossed the road near the intersection of Main Street and 2300 North. While there is a crosswalk near by, officers say the man did not use it and the lights were green for north and south traffic in the intersection.
Police believe the driver of the truck that hit the man, just did not see him until it was too late. The accident happened just before 7 Monday morning and it was still rather dark.
The man did die at the accident scene, but police are not releasing his name until they can contact family out of state.
