SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Authorities say two construction workers were hit by a steel beam that fell off a loading truck at the University of Utah.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department says the workers, both in their 20s, were in a hospital Monday with leg and hip injuries.

Fire spokesman Jasen Asay says the structural beam fell off a trailer as workers were unloading it.

The accident happened at the construction site of a performing arts school at the University of Utah.
