OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) -
If you're looking for a job with the postal service, you might find a website that offers a bunch of them, for a price. Ogden's Kent Meyerhoffer thought a website looked kind of like the official US Postal Service Website. So, his son paid more than $100.00 to get information on jobs and study material to take the postal service test.
Jane Driggs of the Utah Better Business Bureau says Netspan Group Inc. out of Atlanta, GA is charging people for information that's already out there. It's on the US Postal Service website. Driggs says, “Realize that you can get this for free. If you want to spend the money, spend the money. But free is always better.”
Driggs says the company got a rating of a D+ from the BBB. The company says they're just helping people who cannot navigate the postal service website. A disclaimer on the website brings up a page that says in part that the Netspan Group is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by the us postal service. The company does have a refund policy. Otherwise, Driggs say they would probably get an F rating from the BBB.
