Viewing and funeral services announced for LDS artist Arnold Friberg

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The viewing and funeral service for LDS artist Arnold Friberg has been announced.

Friberg painted scenes from the Bible, Book of Mormon and the Revolutionary War. He may be best known for his painting "The Prayer at Valley Forge" showing George Washington kneeling in prayer next to his horse.

A public viewing for Friberg will be held this coming Friday, July 9th from 5 PM to 8 PM at the LDS Conference Center in downtown Salt Lake City.

His funeral will take place on Saturday at 11 AM at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square.

Friberg will be buried at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
