OGDEN, Utah (AP) - Utah's State Road 65 will close for the winter on Friday.
The Utah Department of Transportation says the road, also known as the East Canyon Highway, will shut down to traffic at 5 p.m. Friday.
The road closes from milepost 3 near its junction with Emigration Canyon Road, to milepost 14 near East Canyon Resort.
Once the gates are closed, the road will remain out of service until mid-May.
Winter access to East Canyon Reservoir and Resort remains open from Interstate 84.
