SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah politicians are heading to Arizona to consult with officials there on immigration law.
Lt. Gov. Greg Bell and Senate President Michael Waddoups will lead a delegation of a dozen lawmakers who are paying their own way for the Sept. 27-28 visit.
The Salt Lake Tribune reported Wednesday that the Utah lawmakers will gather information on Arizona's controversial immigration law as they prepare for the 2011 session.
Orem Rep. Stephen Sandstrom has authored a bill titled the "Illegal Immigration Enforcement Act" for what's expected to be a vigorous debate at the Utah Capitol.
