This is not a petition to make you feel better, this is peoples lives that everyone is so casually discussing. I am in no way about to fight for that dirtbag Warren Jeffs or any of the polygamists that are practicing modern day slavery and condoned rape of minor girls, but I am going to say that instead of pointing freaking fingers, do something. These children are innocent in this as they only know what their corrupt, pedophile, and abusive fathers tell them. I am an Active Duty Military Service Member and one of my proud brothers and sisters in arms is a former FLDS Member. I met this young hero just as he entered the military and even though I am his superior, I will ALWAYS look up to this young man. After leaving home at age 16, he was homeless until 18, when he did not require parental consent to join the military. Those 18 months of hell, led to his enlistment and the start of his new battle. I have known my friend for two years now, and there is not a day that passes that he is not fighting to get his brothers, sisters, and mother away from the life they are trapped in. Family is all that matters to this young man. Even though he is free, his people are not and no one will lift a finger!!!! Polygamy will always be present in today's society.....BUT.....SLAVERY, RAPE, INCEST, IMPRISONMENT, KIDNAPPING, and all others type of hell DOES NOT need to happen. Screw the State of Utah, AMERICA CAN FIX THIS!!!!! WE can fix this!! Jeremy and Sharla Johnson of St. George Utah open their home to these young exile FLDS members. Now I know we cannot all help to that extent, but you can do this: instead of surfing internet discussion boards, forums, and blogs to complain or pretend like you care, call your Member of Congress. just goes to show you, the dumb mormons are still in charge in utah. and the flds are doing exactly what smith and good 'ol Breed'em Young taught in the beginning. The only reason they stopped is because they were forced to by the federal govt. The issue in this case isn't about polygamy. It's that a 14-year-old girl was forced to marry and have sex with a 19-year-old man. Steed was convicted of raping Walls. Jeffs was convicted as an accomplice because he commanded (as the incarnation of God in the FLDS church) that Walls obey his order to marry Steed and bear Steed's children. I've nothing against polygamy, or the LDS church. The FLDS, however, is a cult of pedophiles.

If Homosexuals want and have equal rights. Why can't polygamist's? It's all about love right.

I hope the new trial is held quickly and that this pedophile pimp gets an even longer sentence.
