SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A 53-year-old professor at the University of Utah died Thursday night after falling out the emergency exit of a campus shuttle.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m.
According to the Deseret News, the woman was somehow thrown backwards towards the exit and fell out of the bus.
She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died.
The University is now looking into the safety of the shuttles to see if the accident could have been avoided.
