DEVIL'S SLIDE, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A semi truck hauling an over sized piece of machinery rolled over near the Devil's Slide area on Interstate 84 Monday morning.
The Utah Highway Patrol says that just after 9:00 a.m., a semi carrying an over-sized load was traveling west on I-84 near milepost 108.
Troopers say as the truck approached a curve in the freeway, the driver lost control of the vehicle on the slick roadway and spun sideways, and rolling onto its side.
The semi was pulling a trailer with some type of heavy equipment weighing about 110,000 lbs.
All westbound lanes were closed near Henefer and traffic was averted.
By midday, crews were still trying to figure out how to clean up the crash.
Troopers say the driver had minor injuries and was not transported a hospital.
The load was en route from Ontario, Canada to Oregon. The driver was cited for failure to operate within his lane.
The westbound lanes were re opened by 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
