SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Is Mitt Romney getting all the pieces together for another run at the White House?

What seems to many as a forgone conclusion may soon become a reality, with the announcement of Matt Rhoades as executive director for Romney's Free and Strong America PAC.

According to an article in Politico, Rhoades, who has served on other presidential campaigns and at the Republican National Committee was communications director for Romney's 2008 run.

With the upcoming release and tour for Romney's new book No Apology: The Case for American Greatness, Romney's 2012 intentions may be one of the worst kept secrets in the country. Incidentally, Romney's book tour will make stops in several key primary states. One tour stop that doesn't fit into the "key" primary category will be Utah, where the former Massachussetts governor and 2002 Winter Olympics leader will visit in March.

He couldn't even beat McCain! He remade himself prior to running the last time. He might make a decent commerce secretary, maybe. We can do far better. We need to do far better. We will do far better. A "fundamental transformation" leading back to the Constitution is what is needed. He's not that guy.

With all due respect to the other prospective candidates I think Mitt Romney would clearly be the strongest Republican presidential candidate and more importantly, the best president. The most difficult thing for him will be winning the Republican nomination. He is not as popular with the southern base as Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin. Romney can win 2008-blue states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Colorado, and New Hampshire, in addition to every state Bush won in 2004! We need Romney! I hope he runs!

God, I hope so. Clinton-Bush-Obama has been descent, descent, descent. I'll say I dearly hope it'll be Romney/Petraeus since that would be the first Administration to have a potential greater than that of Reagan/Bush.
