Plea deal reached in Davis County teacher sex case

FARMINGTON, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Prosecutors accepted a plead deal in the case involving Linda Nef, a teacher accused of having a sexual affair with a teen aged male student. Nef pleaded guilty to first-degree felony attempted aggravated sex abuse of a child.

46-year-old Linda Nef is accused of having a sexual affair with her student, who was 13-years old at the time. Another teacher is also accused of the same thing with the same boy.

The plea deal calls for the charges against Nef to be amended, and no jail time has been recommended. Nef must also be evaluated and further recommendations will be announced at another court proceeding to be held on June 21.

The family of the victim reportedly supports the deal.
