OGDEN, UTAH (ABC 4 News) - Two children were taken to the hospital after a car crash at the intersection of North Street and Wall Avenue.

According to Lt. Tarran of the Ogden Police Department the accident happened around 3:30 pm on Wednesday. A Dodge Caravan was traveling west bound on North Street and was attempting to make a left turn onto Wall Avenue when it was hit by another car traveling north. The van was hit near the left rear tire and this caused the hatchback to open.

The van had a total of five children inside. A three year-old was ejected from the back of the vehicle, and another child was also injured.  Both children were taken to a local hospital, and the three year-old was later transported to Primary Children's Medical Center, Tarran said.

Police say the accident is still under investigation and no citations have been issued.
