Many Utah businesses not following new Verify law

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - It appears not many Utah businesses are following the state's new Verify law.

It went into affect July 1, 2010. It requires Utah companies with more than fifteen employees to check the legal status of new workers.

But, as of Tuesday, less than 200 companies in the state were doing so.

That's less than a third of businesses that should be complying with the law.

Some say the law has no teeth since there are no consequences for businesses if they don't adhere to the Verify law. In fact, the state says it won't be checking which businesses are or are not using it.

DUH!!! No enforcement of trespassers in the USA, NO arrests for SS fraud, NO payment for schooling costs, NO collections of medical bills for services received in time of need, NO drivers licences, No auto insurance, No business licences for safe contracting...ON AND ON!! ALL REQUIRED BY LAW. WHY IN THE NAME JUSTICE WOULD ANYONE ACKNOWLEDGE A LAW LIKE E-VERIFY??? How stupid are we??? The TRESPASSERS (illegals)simply are leaches sucking excessively at the body of society until it can survive no more. (California) If another source of free support shows the parasite will transfer to the new host. The doors are open in UTAH!!! WELCOME!!>>>>>> With this total reward for the breaking of the law...WHY WOULD ANYONE FOLLOW ANY LAW THAT COSTS THEM TIME OR $$$. Corollary: Those who doesn't follow the law will not pay taxes. >>> Our leaders are wimps and won't take on the problem because it is against their self interests to get reelected. We need new senators, representatives, governors, mayors, judges, lawyers and police chiefs that know their jobs are on the line to follow the LAW!!!! They will then represent LEGAL CITIZENS OF USA!!
