SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Since the devastating earthquake, there is a great need for housing in Haiti. The LDS church launched an aggresive new program to help construct shelter for those in need.
According to an LDS spokesman, the new program will provide 600 Haitian Church members with temporary housing kits.
With the rainy season less than two months away, shelter is urgently needed. The kits will include lumber, corrugated tin for a roof, and hurricane straps for the roof and cement.
