SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - On Monday April 26th at 5p.m., ABC 4 (KTVX-TV) launches a new era of quality local news production. Starting with ABC 4 News at 5:00, all of ABC 4’s newscasts will now be in high definition.
The launch of HD at the station includes an entirely new look and feel for ABC 4.
The 5p.m. newscast premieres a new set designed to highlight use of high definition video, and a brand new HD graphics package.
In addition, all new HD cameras are in place in the news studios, and on the street with ABC 4 News photojournalists.
“It’s an exciting time for our television station”, said ABC 4 President and General Manager Matt Jaquint, ”but more importantly, it’s an exciting time for our viewers.
Our new HD equipment gives us the ability to deliver our product every day at the highest possible quality to news viewers across the state.”
ABC 4 will begin broadcasting our popular local morning program “Good Things Utah” in high definition on Tuesday April 27th.
