CLEARFIELD, Utah (ABC 4 News) – A roll-over accident on I-15 left several people injured and one woman dead Sunday evening.
Police say this Chevy Cobalt was traveling northbound on I-15 when a passenger may have distracted the driver, who over corrected and rolled the carn into the median.
The vehicle slid down an embankment and one passenger, 38-year old Monica Waterfal. from Ogden was ejected from the car. She died on the scene. The three others, including her fiance Russell Larkins, were taken to the hospital. The driver is in critical condition.
Police say drugs may have been involved, the crash caused several other minor accidents. Only one lane was open in each direction as crews cleaned up the scene, backing traffic up for miles.
