PROVO, Utah (AP) - Provo's fire marshal is investigating what caused fireworks to shoot into the crowd during a Fourth of July celebration.

Provo Fire Marshal Lynn Schofield says pyrotechnics crews hope to know soon what caused the malfunction during the Stadium of Fire event at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Schofield says something knocked one of the launchers out of place and it was pointing at the crowd instead of up in the air.

Schofield says six people were treated for minor burns and bruises, but nobody was taken to the hospital. The accident did not disrupt the show.

I was four rows away from the launcher, directly in front of it. The scariest experience of my life. It was just a huge boom and then fire everywhere.
