SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A popular comedy show lampooned an incident that happened at Temple Square over the summer.

Derek Jones and Matt Aune, a homosexual couple, were both arrested in July after they were spotted kissing on Temple Square.

Both men appeared Tuesday night on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" to talk about the incident.

They claim that the church discriminated against them because they were gay.

In the same segment, two other gay men were filmed passionately kissing in front of the Salt Lake Temple.

The show also featured two actors dressed up as LDS missionaries kissing on a couch.

A BYU law professor appeared on the program to argue that the men were only detained because they were trespassing on private property.
