PROMONTORY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - One of Northern Utah's biggest employers is letting 300 workers go.
ATK Launch Systems has facilities near Promontory, in Clearfield and Magna and employs more than 7,000 people. 225 employees got pink slips earlier this week, and another 75 were forced to take early retirement.
Thiokol is anticipating a large drop off in revenue since NASA announced the expiration of the Space Shuttle program in 2010, and the phasing out of the Minuteman missile program.
