TAKING ACTION: ABC 4 investigation helps employees get paid

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - ABC 4 Took Action when a Utah employer refused to pay an employee that had been laid off.

James Gann turned to the labor commission for help, but eight months later they say they're overwhelmed and under-manned.

After our story aired last week, Gann's employer finally paid up.  A day after our report, we helped Gan receive his check.

The labor commission tells us that our action prompted this man's former employer to work out a payment plan for the rest of his employees as well.
