DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A Davis School District bookmobile previously banned for not having a wheelchair lift now has a new boost.
ABC 4 took action and got results so that children in wheelchairs could get into the Small Smile Bookmobile. An employee of AAA Auto Salvage in Ogden donated a hydraulic lift so make the vehicle wheelchair accessible.
"It makes me feel a lot better. I've always been that way anyhow. I'll give you my last penny if I have to. I'll give you the shirt off my back if I have to," the anonymous donor said.
A Davis School District Spokesman said the Bookmobile will now be welcome at it's schools.
