SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) A lawsuit against Washington social service agencies is being planned by the Cox family.

Chuck Cox confirmed that during an interview Monday with ABC 4 News.

“We are taking action,” says Cox. “We are doing what we can do deal with this situation legally and see that people are held accountable for their action or lack of action.”

Cox refused to go into detail based on his attorney’s advice.

But he says the recently released psychological report on Josh Powell adds to his anger.

“I'm just amazed and shocked that child protective services and DHSF (Dept. of Social and Health Svc.) would consider giving custody back to somebody with that disorder,” says Cox. “It’s beyond my imagination … I don't understand how that could be.”

During a raid at Steve Powell's home in Washington detectives and now psychologists got their first their first clue about Josh Powell's thinking.

In a laptop were several sexual images of cartoon characters allegedly drawn by Josh.

According to psychologist James Manley who reviewed the images he wrote: “The reviewed images indicate someone's fantasy-laden view of having sex with children. This is not a healthy parenting perception.”
Charlie and Braden were living with their grandparents. But Cox says Josh should never have been given visitation rights had social services done their job.

The report says the boys spoke of hating Mormons and Jews.

“We certainly did see warning signs with the both of them of things that they were doing, expressing them selves,” Cox says. “It gave us great cause for concern about what they had been taught and how they had been raised.”

Cox says they warned social services about the boys’ behavior but were ignored. And now their next stop may be the courtroom.

Obviously those who support Josh are ill informed of what was really going on and what evidence has been found. Supervised visitation should never be in the home. DSHS was made aware of the evidence and the order of the psychosexual evaluation. Visitation should've been halted after discovery of the exhibits that elicited this invasive evaluation. Anyone who is suspected in the children's mother's disappearance, living with a pedophile father shouldn't have visitation period. Suspicious circumstances. The State screwed up big.

DSHS really screwed up in this case and many others. One thing that is the conduit of change is if costs them, embarasses them and holds them accountable. so many levels of incompetence is evidence that figuratively heads should roll over these continuing mistakes. They messed up with cases close to me and fear a similar outcome. Perhaps this action may prevent further needless tragedy.

http://tinyurl.com/7vxenc5 - I guess you never read that. Official, sanctioned harassment. If the Cox family were truly "honor[ing] the ruling of the courts" this would not have happened. They wanted to do everything they could to poison Powell, and poison the children against him. Josh killed his children, but the Cox duo helped bring about that day. By the way, you misspelled answers, have WAY too many commas in your post, and are pathetic in general for even bringing up spelling and grammar. Get a life.

Josh Powell, was already over the edge, the Cox family honored the ruling of the courts, which erred to the side of disaster, and horror for two young boys who were not able to protect themselves against Josh Powell's evil, self-serving agenda. Wanting answer's from the one person to be the last person to see his wife, their daughter in this case, ALIVE is not harassment, it just makes good sense. Don't by use of technology, harass these grandparents, their Grandchildren would be appalled, By the way you misspelled harassment and appalling.

Again, proof that Chuck Cox is a gold digging media whore. He and his wife deliberately took steps to try and drive Josh Powell over the edge. Well, guess what? They succeeded. I bet they'll try and get a book deal, too. Police sanctioned harrasment should be appaling to anyone.
