TAYLORSVILLE, UTAH (ABC 4 News) - Police are looking for whoever broke in and ripped off the Taylorsville Medical Plaza at 1951 West 4700 South Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
ABC 4 News spoke with the victims and they said no medical records were stolen and no computers were taken. And it appears that was never the intent of the burglars.
Dr. Michael Hill, one of two dentists in the plaza said his office manager showed up early Thursday morning and "saw glass all over the place and a chair in the hallway." She quickly realized not one, but the offices of two chiropractors and two dentists had been hit.
The unidentified burglar or burglars made a big mess. Dr. Hill said they "smashed things and tore up the office." He believes, because of that, the thief was after "narcotics." And he says no one "keeps them on the premise."
Whoever is responsible did find $60 in cash and stole it. Unfortunately, the damage and time lost at work will cost the victims much more. "You can't take back the time you loose and the time you could have patients in the chair."
Police do not have a description of the culprit or culprits at this time.
