SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – Carl Wimmer was in studio Friday talking about the new redistricting map that includes a fourth district.
Wimmer is not surprised that Matheson is thinking of running in that district because the only thing that is important to Jim Matheson is maintaining a position of power.
Wimmer said he thinks Matheson wants Democrats back in control of Congress and Nancy Pelosi re-elected as speaker.
Wimmer encouraged Matheson to run against him in the Fourth District. Wimmer also believes the representative should live in the district they are representing.
Wimmer said by not living in the district you may not know all the needs of the people. However, a representative is not constitutionally required to do so.
