BEAVER, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Parts of Utah got a lot of snow Wednesday morning. More could be on the way.

Snow showers from both lake effect and moisture wrapping around low pressure were moving through the state of Utah Wednesday morning.

Heavy snow was falling south of the Great Salt Lake from Tooele to South Jordan to both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.

The snow created trouble near Parowan where a semi tractor trailer hit a highway patrol cruiser.

Snow was falling in Iron county and around the Cedar City as well as to the south of the Great Salt Lake and Utah Lake.

There will have scattered snow showers and high winds later Wednesday.
