WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - After having his home invaded, a West Valley City man tried to take matters into his own hands and catches an intruder in the act.

Video from inside Kraig Oaks home showed his unwanted guest.

Oaks said, "We have locks and doors on your windows and you hope that's good enough, but we have learned that is not good enough."

This was the second time Oaks' home has been invaded. The first before Thanksgiving although nothing was stolen that time, Oaks felt violated and scared.

Oaks said, "Someone I don't know has forced their way into my home, they went through my personal stuff."

Oaks locked all his windows and door and installed a camera system, but it wasn't enough. Just last week someone broke into his home again.

The intruder threw a rock through a window and managed to get inside the home.

A surveillance camera in the living room caught the man in action, you can see the stranger grab things and fill up a bag and then grab a TV.

In all the intruder took the TV screen, a Play Station 3 and a laptop.

Oaks does not feel safe and wants help to find the intruder.

Oaks said, "We have locks and doors on your windows and you hope that's good enough, but we have learned that is not good enough."

If you know anything, call West Valley City Police.
